Please Read Before Booking
This page contains some critical information for you to read before you RSVP and book. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to us.
Important: Please make sure you have current passports! If you need a new/renewed passport, please allow 6-8 weeks (non-rushed) for processing time.
In addition to RSVPing and booking a room here, will you please fill out the following Google Form when you are ready to book a room?
https://forms.gle/9e9EqHEaNs5ThYrA9
Additionally, we encourage you to RSVP and book the room ASAP! Placing a deposit for the room will ensure that the resort does not run out of rooms for you, the cost will likely be lower than months from now, and it makes our planning a lot easier. We kindly request that you RSVP by Thanksgiving to make our planning easier!
We are elated to share our love with your closest and dearest ones at this beautiful resort in Mexico. That being said, it is quite the journey and commitment to fly to Mexico. We will have another larger wedding in California at some point in the future, so if you cannot make it to this destination wedding, we completely understand! For those that are able to make it to Mexico, we promise to make it worth your time!
Here are some FAQs to help you with some decision making:
Q: When will Osika and Jamey be at the resort? When should we arrive/depart?
A: We will fly into Cancun Airport (CUN) on Fri, Feb 21st, and we will depart on Wed, Feb 26th. You are welcome to arrive earlier, or depart later if you want to stay longer. We have a welcome event planned for the 23rd, the wedding on the 24th, and an optional event on the 25th. so if you want to make it to all events, we suggest that you fly in on Saturday, Feb 22nd at the latest, and you can depart on Tuesday, Feb 25th at the earliest. Aside from the planned events, we will attempt to spend as much time with the guests as possible. Even if we are not available (we need to finalize wedding details in person), the resort and surrounding areas are spectacular, so there are plenty of things to do.
Q: Where do we book rooms, and is there any price matching?
A: We suggest that you book your rooms directly through destify on our wedding page. Please fill in the full name of your head of household, and please do not exceed your RSVP count by the names addressed on your invitation. We have compared the pricing with websites like Expedia, the resort itself, etc. and have found that the pricing is pretty similar. If by chance you do find cheaper pricing, they will price match within 24 hours of your booking. You can find the exact details here: https://destify.com/price-matching/
Q: Do I have to book at this resort?
A: You are not required to book at this resort. However, we heavily encourage you to book this resort. We have spent a lot of time researching the different venues, and have found that this resort provides tremendous value for the cost. There are a lot of activities (kid-friendly too), the food is delicious, and on top of that, most of the wedding guests will be staying here, which will make it both fun and convenient. If you do decide to stay somewhere else, please indicate it in the questionnaire, or let us know, as we do have a minimum number of rooms that we need to fill. If you do not stay at this resort, then you will require a guest pass for the day of the wedding, which is 100$ per adult, $50 per child. This will allow you access to the resort starting at 9am.
Q: I am a party of 1, can I room with someone else?
A: Yes, you can find a roommate to lower the cost per person. If you have someone in mind, great! If not, you can indicate it in the questionnaire, and we can try to pair you up with someone else before you book a room.
Q: What are our options for transportation?
A: The resort is about an hour away from the Cancun (CUN) airport. You could rent your own car, you can book transportation directly with destify, or you can arrange for a third party transportation service. For our events, you will not need your own car. If you intend to do your own activities, consider a car/third party transportation. If you have a larger group, or you know other people that arrive at the same time, consider something like https://happyshuttlecancun.com/ (their rate is $150 round trip for 2-6 people).
Q: What is the wedding attire?
A: Cocktail attire
Q: Which flight are you taking?
A: If you would like to join us on any of our flights, this is our itinerary:
Fri, Feb 21, 2025: SAN to IAH on UA2472 8:00AM - 1:06PM, IAH to CUN on UA1114 2:26PM - 5:50PM
Wed, Feb 26, 2025: CUN to LAX on UA1275 3:07PM - 5:30PM, LAX to SAN on UA5415 6:55pm - 7:53PM
Q: What are the extra activities you have listed?
A1: There is a hosted welcome event on Sunday Feb 22. We will be boarding a 65 ft catamaran for a 4 hour long sail! Activities included on the boat are snorkeling, fishing, a bbq meal, and of course an OPEN BAR. Bring dramamine if you get seasick, and do not forget your sunscreen!
A2: The day after the wedding on Tuesday Feb 24, we are planning to go to Xplor Fuego at night time (5:30PM - 11:00PM). This allows us to recover and relax during the day, and then at night time we have fun in this unforgettable adventure park that includes underwater caves, hammock ziplines, ATVing, ziplines, waterslides, and more! Bring an action camera, bathing suits, watershoes/flip flops, and anything else you need. This event is not hosted, so you will need to purchase your own ticket at the link below. You can hold off on buying tickets for now, there should be a sale during Black Friday. We recommend that you add in the transportation and the photo pass as well - we will be taking the transportation and additionally the photopass is 100% worth it.
Make you you purchase the Xplor Fuego ticket, and not the day time ticket!

Q: Are there any suggested items that I should bring?
A: Yes, aside from your wedding attire (don't forget shoes!), bring bathing suits, flip flops, clothes for warmer climates. For some of the activities, water shoes could be useful, as well as a Go Pro/waterproof camera. Aside from that, bring your usual travel accessories, and lots of sun screen!
Q: What about gifts?
A: Your presence is all we need! The journey to Mexico is long and costly, so we will not ask for any gifts aside from your presence.
